I HATE SUMMERS!!!!
The perspiration, perpetual slavery to the airconditioners, the dehydration, the pit stains on my new shirts, the sheer ickiness of the weather makes me want to cringe in futile yet justified disgust and frustration....
The mosquitoes,humidity and constant craving for liquids are enough to throw anyone off their rocker...
Fortunately, even the all knowing Brahma, the creator of the universe was kind enough to bless us unfortunate mortals with a tool which will forever be our comrade through this hellish journey....
A pair of Shorts...
A pair of half pants( ugh! a highly unflattering nomenclature) or knickers as they are fondly called in this side of the world, are indeed a boon from the heavens themselves...Given a choice between a beautiful woman and a pair of shorts, I'd gladly opt for the latter(after all who wants the temperature to rise further, wink wink nudge nudge!)
Imagine the blissful satisfaction of a man, the sheer comfort at wearing a pair of smooth shorts you can slip into, with a nice pair of sandoz and a mug of chilled beer...life at its very best!
So what makes a good pair of shorts?
Is it the comfort?the fit? the cut? the design? what is that innate x-factor, which makes a pair of shorts the second most important tool in a mans life?( the first one being very obvious)
Well, its the way the fabric brushes your skin; like a virgin butterfly slowly and gracefully slipping out of her cocoon; a pair of shorts releases you.
The feel of silk, your skin breathes in the shorts, the way the earth does when new rain hits the groung quenching the ancient, colloquial thirst.
The magical, miraculous, magnificent, CHADDI indeed makes life so much more worthwhile.
Lending it an air of cool carelessness and insoucience, making even the most herculean troubles insignificant, as long as you have your shorts, batman has his robin...
As you slowly unfold and uncurl yourself, letting down your defences you realise the there is no experience like a " short" one...
